Abstract

Iron-containing silica nanocomposites were prepared via sol–gel processing using an iron-containing citrate solution. The samples were analysed via thermogravimetry, X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and infrared (IR) spectroscopy. The effect of sintering temperature on the magnetic susceptibility of the composites was also studied.
