Abstract
The transcription factor IRF4 is known to be essential for differentiation of effector CD4(+) Tcell subsets. Inthisissue, Yao etal. (2013) identify IRF4 as a regulator of checkpoints in the final steps and maintenance of CD8(+) Tcell effector differentiation.
