Abstract
IRCHLB-IV-Abstracts of Presentations at the 4th International Research Conference on Huanglongbing
Highlights
Abstracts presented at the 4th International Research Conference on Huanglongbing in Orlando, Florida, USA, February 9–13, 2015
This study describes experiments to compare the effect of Liberibacter asiaticus (Las) on citrus trees composed of susceptible and tolerant cultivars in both the scion and the rootstock position, and expression of genes associated with disease resistance in leaf and root tissue
By sequencing 35 Las isolates collected from different geographic origins, we found that most surveyed Las isolates encompassed at least two prophages/phages, but isolates from both Japan and California were missing a majority of the prophage regions
