Iran's Clerical Regime's “Jewish Problem”

Abstract

This article analyzes the functional exploitation of anti-Jewish sentiments in Iran by the clerical regime in control of the government. It is the author's contention that this policy has been very effective domestically and in the foreign policy of the regime in enhancing Iranian power and ability to influence regional politics and Iran's role in the Islamic world at large, especially by pressuring the Sunni regimes in the area to toe Iran's Shiite position.
