Abstract

The effect of the relative concentration of framework (AlVI, O), in-framework, and out-of-framework (AlVI, O) aluminum compounds on thermal transformation of the structure was investigated by IR Fourier spectroscopy. It was found that partial reduction of the anion function of aluminum takes place during prolonged exposure and heat treatment of the samples in air due to its transitions from the six-coordinated state in the out-of- and in-framework compounds into the four-coordinated state of the nodal lattice oxygen.
