Abstract

By studying the IR spectra of CO adsorbed on CaNaY zeolite at 93–303 K and 0.8–5.3×102 Pa pressures, it is shown that at temepratures below 150 K and pressure above 1.3 Pa two CO molecules can be adsorbed on Ca2+ ions. The calculated adsorption heats of CO on Ca2+ ions and Ca2+ (CO) complexes equal 39.8 and 14.6 kJ/mol, respectively.
