Abstract

CONFLICTING results have been obtained in studies1–3 dealing with Fourier analysis of evoked responses (ER) in relation to human intelligence. On rethinking, I realized (a) that the spectral characteristics of ER change with time, and (b) that most of the differences between high and low IQ subjects appear to occur in the first 150 ms of the response.
