Abstract

Even as IPv4 address pools are being depleted, the level of deployment of its successor, IPv6, remains low. But significant recent developments are breaking down previous obstacles to its adoption. Progress on the deployment of IPv6 in the coming year could be a barometer for the global Internet's future.
