Abstract

Healthy ecosystems in the industry are not created in a short time. In particular, SMEs that measure the health of ecosystems have limitations in spontaneous competitiveness and innovation. In order to overcome this, the industrial innovation movement supported by large corporations, midsize companies and public corporations led to 98% of SMEs experiencing productivity improvement. Especially, more than 60% of companies with more than 10% improved their productivity. The purpose of this study is to identify key factors that need to be urgently corrected in order to find out the performance of industrial innovation activities, reflecting characteristics of regions and industries. This study was conducted on 199 SMEs in Yeongnam region participating in industrial innovation movement. The following points were confirmed through SPSS and IPA analysis. As a result of the research, it was found that the establishment of the innovation system of the organization is urgent in all industries. In addition, the factors shown in the Ⅱ quadrant indicate that ''cost reduction'' is especially pointed out in the machinery & automobile industries, and ''education and learning participation of the employees'' is the priority in the electrical & electronic industries and other industries.
