Abstract
AbstractIO‐TiO2/PCN‐222 heterostructure is built by combining the narrow band gap metalloporphyrin metal‐organic framework (PCN‐222) with the wide gap inverse opal TiO2 (IO‐TiO2). PCN‐222 was grown in situ on the surface of the IO‐TiO2 pore wall under hydrothermal conditions, which formed a tightly connected interface and allowed the rapid separation and transfer of electrons and holes. The IO‐TiO2/PCN‐222 possessed a high photodegradation efficiency of doxycycline hydrochloride (DH) and the degradation rate constant of IO‐TiO2/PCN‐222 is 0.02456 min−1, which is about 7.24, 3.95 and 5.27 times that of P25, IO‐TiO2 and PCN‐222, respectively. The high photocatalytic activity of IO‐TiO2/PCN‐222 is attributed to the high adsorption capacity of DH, strong absorption of visible light, and the fast separation and transfer ability of electrons and holes in the tightly connected heterointerface.
