IoT Based Web Controlled Multiple Home Automation and Monitoring with Raspberry Pi

Abstract

With the advancement of technology Home Automation System is getting popular day by day. Automated home including Internet of Things (IoT) is more renowned in the world of technology nowadays. IoT connects many devices around the world through internet. IoT refers to the network of some connected devices which consists of some hardware equipment, applications and some technical help and their function is to build communication through data with other systems through the internet. Due to the consolidation of different technologies like instantaneous data, neural network, sensors and adorned scheme things have evolved and become complex day by day. Due to the conventionality of inlaid systems, wireless sensor network (WSN), control systems, mechanization IoT is enabling. Here, we have introduced a complete sketch of a system including sensing, monitoring and controlling capability. Our work was intended to establish the Home Automation system to be as a bit more proficient, secured as well as flexible. This IoT based approach creates a field monitoring environment through different kinds of sensors like- temperature, humidity, motion, buzzer and provides security with face detection system using deep learning. All data were collected in a cloud server or database through an efficient gateway. Then we have made users capable of accessing this database by developing a website. Users can observe their home activities, condition of home and make real time decisions about monitoring and controlling and also can see any intruder near at the door through a camera by accessing the website easily. If sensors can detect any unexpected activity they will give command to the system. Then the system will warn the user and will provide security automatically. Combination of IoT, various types of sensors, user-customized web service makes this Home Automation System more efficient and enables the users to get a better experience.
