Abstract
Water is precious natural resource for sustaining life and environment. Effective and sustainable management of water resources is vital for ensuring sustainable development. In this paper, we analyze the water problems in India and find an efficient solution to automate and monitor the overall process. Water scarcity is one of the major constraints in producing food, maintaining health, ecosystem protection, and social security. Increasing competition and conflicts pose social and ecological risks when it comes to water management [2]. Along with scarcity the conflicts are also likely to grow within sectors.[3] A smart city is a portal to a new age. Many houses exist today in which people can have amenities according to their comfort. Usage of the water is based on the people’s population, season, etc, So, water supply management is required along with its maintenance. In methods being used today, many of us may not know how much water is used or wasted. To ensure the automation of the system as well as to avoid the wastage of the water, proposed system has been developed for smooth water supply management with the help of IoT devices.[4]
