Abstract
The main objective of this work, focused on development of multi user remote system which encompasses IoT technology with Raspberry-Pi. In specific, IoT based controlling and monitoring is applied to double pipe heat exchanger, a thermal device. Heat exchanger is a device in which transfer of heat takes place from one high temperature fluid to another low temperature fluid. Monitoring performance of such heat exchanger using networking is a trending research area for heat exchanger based researchers. Heat exchanger assembly consists of two inputs such as hot water inlet (T1) and cold water inlet (t1). Two outputs such as hot water outlet (T2) and cold water outlet (t2). IoT system proposed in this study is capable identifying deviation of such input and output parameters from normal operating mean. It is also capable of monitoring heat exchanger performance via inaccessible (private) firmware running on the cloud. This approach utilizes multi-disciplinary technology such as embedded system with PIC which in turn communicates with cloud-centric server profile through (R-Pi) based python system.
