Abstract

Biomedical automation is one of the ever-emerging trends to provide better attention and healthcare. Presented work focuses on designing of an IOT Based Remote Healthcare Monitoring System with use of NodeMCU& Arduino IDE. The IOT platform referred in this presented work is Ubidots. Application Ubidots depends on open-source Internet of Things (IOT) application. Moreover, it's an API to store and retrieve data using the HTTP and MQTT protocol over the Internet or via Local Area Network. The pulse rate can be read, and the temperature and Blood Pressure can be measured using this IOT device. The proposed design continuously monitors a patient's vital signs and senses abnormalities. The ECG test results came out to be 72, 75,78 beats per minute. The oxygen percentages were recorded as 94,97,98%. And lastly, the temperatures of the test subjects were recorded as 94.78, 95.6 and 97.4 degree Fahrenheit. The proposed design is easy to use and cost efficient in terms of affordability.
