Abstract

The main ambition of this project is to determine the fundamental electrical perimeters like current, voltage and frequently from smart grid and send it over GSM network and IoT based network using GSM modem or phone and server (mobile app named Blynk is used in the prototype) along with real-time values and temperature at the power stations. This project is designed to defend the electrical circuitry by utilizing an electromechanical relay. The relay is used to switch off the main electrical supply by operating the circuit breaker. Whenever the permanent exceeded its predefined values, the system is set to send alerts by SMS. This system mainly slows two specific lines to show the operating and controlling of the particular lines at the grid. In this project, both hardware design and software design (design on proteus) of “GSM and IoT based Automated Embedded System for Monitoring and Controlling of Smart Grid” is presented. Arduino IDE software is for the simulation of the proposed system. The microcontroller (Arduino NANO) is appraised as the main brain of the system. There were two Arduinos and one ESP-8266 controller (used as a Wi-Fi module). This proposed system can perform multiple working sections such as protection, monitoring, controlling and can store the entire data in the cloud and show it on the device's display app. This project convinces the goal of modern science and technology which provides satisfaction and comfort to the people who perform jobs at Power Grid companies. The Power Grid companies will be benefitted from this project and it will be productive for the environment as well as the society.
