Abstract

For the ionization mechanism of excitation of heterogeneous chemiluminescence (HCL) we find the quantum yield B of HCL as a function of the specimen temperature and the concentration of atoms and molecules of the exciting gas. (Here, B is the ratio of the intensity of the luminescence of the phosphor (quanta/cm2· sec) to the intensity of the recombination reaction (recombinations/ cm2·sec) of atoms (radicals) on the surface of the phosphor.)
