Abstract
The construction of the halite unit-cell from the ionic radii of the constitutive species is proposed with the use of our hybrid model, considering flexible anion and cation radii. 312 binary halite-structured stoichiometric compounds were analyzed. This systematic study focuses first on the revision of the ionic radii of the considered species then on the proposition of empirical relations between the anionic radius as a function of the cation's size.
