Abstract
Abstract The electrical conductivity of single crystals and powdered pellets of Na2SO4 having various particle sizes has been measured. Raman studies on single crystals indicated that the phase transition of the room-temperature phase V proceeds at least two ways; the direct V→I transition without an intermediate phase and multiple transitions via intermediate phases of II and III. The electrical conductivity indicated that the sequence of transitions is dependent on the particle size.
