Abstract

Ion exchange at high concentrations of the mobile phase. V. The role of the sulphonic group at the sorption of anionic thallium(III) complexes from hydrobromic acid solution by cation exchangers The sorption of Tl(III) from HBr solution by four series of macroporous, sulphonic cation exchangers of various capacities has been investigated. From the results it can be concluded that the SO 3H-group of sulphonic cation exchangers disturbs the sorption of anionic complexes. The formation of ion associates of the type [RSO 3H 2] +[TlBr 4] − could not be confirmed.
