Abstract

The ion exchange properties of vanadium ferrocyanide have been investigated. The behaviour of Rb and Cs on this sorbent, and the sorption of other fission products (Sr, Ce, Ru, Zr) have been studied in detail from the point of view of the application of vanadium ferrocyanide to the isolation or separation of fission products. The influence of acidity and of Na and NH 4 salts on the sorption of Cs, Rb, Sr, Ce, Ru and Zr was studied, and selectivity coefficients for the exchange have been determined for some ion pairs.
