Abstract

The change in the distribution coefficients of caesium, barium and zinc ions on the sulphonated polystyrene resin KU-2, as a function of organic solvent concentration in hydrochloric acid solution, is studied. The organic solvents investigated are methyl alcohol, isopropyl alcohol and acetone. From the data obtained, it is possible to devise separations of zinc and caesium and of barium and caesium.
