Abstract
The capabilities of a determination of monohydric aliphatic carboxylic acids (C 1–C 7) 10 −6–10 −4 g/l, chlorides, nitrates and carbonates impurities in 46 organic solvents, such as alcohols, ethers, ketones, acetonitrile, dimethyl sulphoxide, formamides, graded as `pure for analytical purposes' and `chemically pure' by ion chromatography with conductivity detection are reported. Data obtained allow to predict total content of carboxylic acids in the organic solvents starting from their empirical parameters of polarity ( E T, kcal/mol; 1 cal=4.184 J).
