Abstract
Abstract We describe experiments we have done with a hot wall iodine cell He-Ne laser. The net result is an improvement of the contrast of the saturated absorption peak which is used for frequency stabilization. The frequency shifts induced by collisions are measured. Anomalous modulation width dependent frequency shifts are observed in some cases.
