Abstract

An effective, trivial, green and metal free iodine catalyzed approach for the production of isoxazoles from primary alcohols and 3-O-propargyl flavones in one-pot three-step manner using DMSO as the oxidant has been developed. The stated methodology was promising for an extensive variety of primary alcohols and 3-O-propargyl flavones, generates isoxazoles within 10 h.
