Abstract

The article analyzes the state and prospects for the development of additional education for school-age children. The author substantiates the conclusion that the role of additional education in the formation of a child's personality is increasing as a result of parents' dissatisfaction with the quality of school education. The author studies the availability of additional education and the involvement of school children in it on the basis of RosStat data and other sociological studies. Special attention is paid to the study of the features and development prospects of the linguistic component in additional education. The conclusion is made about the need to strengthen state regulation of this sphere.
