Abstract
An IR and microcalorimetric study of adsorption and in situ reaction at room temperature of NO, O 2, NO 2 and NH 3 provides evidence of the involvement of surface nitrate species in this reaction. On the basis of this new experimental evidence a mechanism is proposed for the low temperature SCR reaction of NO by NH 3 over titanium silicalites (TS-1).
