Katy Washington, Ph.D., J.D., Director of the Office of Disability Access at the University of North Texas, credits involvement in the Association on Higher Education And Disability with expanding how she saw her professional mission. Washington, who will become AHEAD's president in 2022, discussed the importance of the field's main professional association.
