Abstract

Nonprofits often task their board's audit committee with reviewing the annual reports prepared by third party auditors and recommending that the board approve or disapprove the draft reports. But according to Michael Gellman of Sustainability Education 4 Nonprofits, these committees can be much more impactful by getting involved at the front end of the auditing process—and even earlier than that.
