Abstract

Single walled carbon nanotubes (SWNT) are unique in the field of sensors due to their extremely small size and longevity. Through the use of SWNT sensors information about the development of diseases can be elucidated, providing researchers and clinicians with a detailed explanation of how and why a disease is progressing in a specific fashion. With improved understanding of disease development, both early detection and improved disease treatment can occur. This talk will focus on the initial steps towards the goal of improved disease characterization.
