Abstract
Chiral spiro π-conjugated compounds with donor–acceptor structures were synthesized. Carbazol-9-yl, 9,9-dimethylacridin-10-yl, phenoxazin-10-yl donor units were introduced on the spiro-fused acceptor unit with sulfonyl groups. The donor units were found to have great impact on the longest absorption maximum and emission maximum. The chiral spiro π-conjugated compounds with 9,9-dimethylacridin-10-yl or phenoxazin-10-yl donor units showed delayed fluorescence. All of three compounds exhibited circularly polarized luminescence both in solution and solid states.
