Abstract
Propulsion system is one of the main systems for VTOL UAV. It provides the force for vertical lift and forward thrust for forward flight. It is important to select correct propulsion system components in order to develop an efficient system. This workshop aims to provide an efficient combination of components in propulsion system that can provide enough power for the UAV to fly. With correct combination, it will improve the flight time, lift capacity, and reliability of drone or other types of UAV and propulsion systems. The participant will gain experience on how to operate thrust stand in order to obtain the critical data needed to enhance flight performance. They will also fully understand the performance of the propulsion system including the brushless motors, propellers, ESCs, and LiPo batteries.
