Abstract
In this talk, a few selected contributions of Professor White will be briefly summarized. His contributions towards modeling and numerical simulation of batteries, and electrochemical systems will be reviewed. In addition, my personal perspective on the relevance of his contributions to the current and next-generation batteries/electrochemical-systems/students/researchers will be presented. Selected examples of model-based BMS, mechano-electrochemical models, phase-field models, dendrite growth in 2D, and precise and efficient simulation of the same will be presented.
