Abstract

This study discusses the present day capabilities of vector non-linear microwave measurements. It starts off with a historical review on the development of such instrumentation. Next, the author elaborates on how vector non-linear measurements changed the way in which models for non-linear microwave devices are validated and constructed, how they broadened physical understanding, and how they have impacted microwave circuit design.
