Abstract

Hydrogen is one of the most important molecular commodities in the fuels and chemicals sectors. Developing new pathways to hydrogen production by means of renewable resources could play an important role in meeting global sustainability goals. This paper will focus on the design and development of catalysts and interfaces for hydrogen production. This includes catalysts for hydrogen evolution and oxygen evolution, as well as interfacing those materials within the context of devices for water electrolysis and solar photoelectrochemical (PEC) hydrogen producing systems.
