Abstract
This retrospective review by Osarogiagbon and colleagues [1] of all non-small cell lung cancer resections, performed in the Memphis Metropolitan area during a 4-year time span, addresses an important issue affecting patients with resectable lung cancer. Adequacy of lymph node staging is crucial, because it provides the most important prognostic information in patients with loco-regional non-small cell lung cancer. This is typically accomplished by a combination of imaging and surgical sampling.
