Abstract

Return risk is an important consideration for developers and financiers of port infrastructure. This paper examines the impact of various sources of risk in port infrastructure development using the two-moments method. The sensitivity of risk to stochastic revenue and cost variables is tested under different scenarios, including circumstances when variables are nonnormal and correlated. Application of the methodology is illustrated using a case example.
