Abstract

The composite is the most advanced material based on its unique properties and more strength to weight ratio. This paper developed the laminated composite material using the hand lay up process. The matrix material is used as epoxy resin with a hardener, and the reinforcement materials are used as Glass fiber, Jute fiber, Hemp fiber, and Sisal fiber. The specimen is prepared per ASTM standards with different matrix and reinforcement materials percentages. The mechanical behavior of Tensile, Flexural, Impact strength and water absorption properties are also identified. The specimen prepared with Jute and Glass fiber based material shows a better result. The maximum tensile strength 75.2 MPa, flexural strength 95.4 MPa, Impact strength 1575 J/m2 was obtained in the Jute and glass fiber composites material.
