Abstract

The Lower Eleonore Bay Group outcropping on the eastern flank of the 'central metamorphic complex' and in the Alpefjord region comprises a sedimentary sequence more than 8000 m thick. It is overlain concordantly by the Upper Eleonore Bay Group, Tillite Group (Eocambrian) and Cambro-Ordovician sediments.
