Abstract

Solar air heater (SAH) plays a vital role in heating air using one of the various renewable sources of energy. This research work presents a technical photomontage of heat transfer analysis on a flat plate solar air heater (FPSAH) with and without obstacles. Initially, obstacles heat transfer rate were analyzed and by adjusting number of fine using computational fluid dynamics (CFD). From this result, it is observed that outlet temperature was at maximum and pressure drop was at minimum in the case of FPSAH. Same study has to be repeated with/without obstacles. In this connection, design and fabricated the FPSAH experiments with air pump for analysis and optimize the fin’s heat transfer rate, and experimental results are compared with CFD results.
