Abstract
In order to accurately measure the slab temperature in continuous casting secondary cooling zone and thus realize the closed-loop control, an accurate measurement system of slab surface temperature based on the linear array charge-coupled device (CCD) of a peripheral component interconnect (PCI) data acquisition card is designed, and its overall hardware scheme is given. The polynomial interpolation method is used to detect the sub-pixel edge of the acquired image to achieve accurate measurement at the sub-pixel level. The noise of the CCD image is also analyzed, and a sub-band filtering algorithm based on wavelet transform is proposed to remove the CCD noise. The filtering effect is obvious.
