Abstract
The determination of iron, zinc, manganese, copper, lead, cadmium, cobalt and nickel was carried out on liver, breast muscle, heart, stomach and feathers of 50 male and 40 female long-tailed ducks ( Clangula hyemalis L.) staying in their winter quarters in Gdańsk Bay during 1980–1981. There were no significant differences in the concentration of metals between male and female long-tailed ducks. The correlation coefficients between the concentration of metals in the liver and breast muscle were determined.
