Abstract

In the present manuscript, the effects of different factors against film cooling is studied by numerical simulation. The film cooling effects at incident angles of 90∘, 60∘ and 30∘ are explored. The holes are arranged as single row, single hole, staggered double row and aligned double row, and the blowing ratios respectively are 1, 0.5, 2.5 and 2. The outcomes exhibit that when the blowing ratio is 0.5, there exist the highest film cooling efficiency. The film cooling efficiency is higher when the incident angle is 30∘ than when the incident angle is 60∘ and 90∘. In addition, the cooling efficiency of staggered double rows is higher than that of aligned double rows and single row array. For example, at x/D=20, the cooling efficiency of staggered double rows is 10.9% higher than that of aligned double rows, and 16.8% higher than that of single row.
