Abstract

This paper discusses the methodology of investigations into transduction properties of dynamic microphone membranes in transients. The method incorporates results of experimental investigations and computer simulation on the basis of a determined generalized impulse response of the membrane. Exemplary processes of vibrations rising as a dome-type membrane in order to force a ‘tone burst’ have been presented as a result of computer calculations of an instantaneous spectrum for a different shift of the measurement window.
