Abstract

Variation of fabric width at the twin beams sulzer weawing machine was represented as source of many technological complaints. Therefore the effect of fabric width on the dynamic and static warp tension, motion behaviour of twin beams, and the fabric properties such as weft and warp density and fabric dimensions has been examined. The results indicated that, there are significant difference between the dynamic tension of the upper and lower shed, also static tension increases by the increase in fabric width. Also that vaviation in fabric width affect the motion advance of ward beam in the side of the wider fabric, than that of the side or narrower fabric (Picking side), and hence creates warp waste (1,44%) greater than that of equal fabric width (0,134%), and both warp, weft and fabric dimensions.
