Abstract

Objective To study the self-efficacy and its influencing factors in patients with coronary heart disease (CHD),and to suggest reasonable strategies to improve their self-efficacy.Methods Basic condition questionnaire and Self-Rated Abilities for Health Practices Scale (SRAHP) were used to assess 216 patients with CHD.Results The general total score of self-efficacy in 216 patients was 57.89 ± 14.25,and only 18 of them (8%) revealed high level of self-efficacy (total score > 80).Subgroup analysis revealed that total score was relevant with education and classification of angina, and the poorer education, the lower total score; also the more severe angina, the higher total score. Conclusions The general total score of self-efficacy in patients with CHD was relatively lower. We should assess self-efficacy in every patient with CHD and accordingly adjust our work to improve it.
