Abstract
AbstractIn this paper, the proposed design of OR logic gate function are realized in a hexagonal lattice using two dimensional Photonic Crystal (PC). The OR gate is constructed by varying the rod radius in this design and by creating Y—shaped waveguide. The OR gate is proposed by the phenomenon of resonator. The design is created by two input waveguide and one output waveguide for the reference input and the output. The functional parameters of the logic gates are the response time, bit rate and contrast ratio are investigated through 2D Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) method. The calculated functional parameter such as response time, bit rate and contrast ratio is 0.6948 ps, 1.4392 Tbps and 38.18 dB for logic 1.KeywordsOR gatePhotonic crystalBand gap. finite difference time domainPlane wave expansion
