Abstract

The objective of this investigation is to ascertain the initial recrystallization temperature range for a novel Mo-TiC-ZrC-C (TZM) alloy. Annealing experiments were conducted on the TZM alloy rolled sheet, revealing an initial recrystallization temperature of 1100 °C. In the temperature range of 1100 ∼ 1150 °C, there were notable changes in yield strength (11 %), tensile strength (13 %) and elongation (19 %). Due to the varying effects of annealing temperature and recrystallization within distinct temperature ranges, the average grain size of the TZM alloy exhibits an initial increase followed by a decrease in the range of 900 ∼ 1200 °C. At 1200 °C, a noteworthy enhancement in recrystallized grains is observed.
