Abstract

Objective To understand the distribution of Rh blood group antigen in voluntary blood donors in Lishui district. Methods Rh blood group antigens were detected and analyzed by serological tests. The resalts were compared with other reports naitonwide. Results A total of 377 Rh-negative blood donors were identified in 76 050 samples. Among them, 128 (33.95%) , 102 (27.06%) , 119 (31.56%) , and 28 (7.43%) samples were blood type A, B, O and AB, respectively. The results showed that ccdee (64.72%) was predominant in Lishui, followed by Ccdee of 23.34%, CCdee of 5.57%, and other phenotypes were relatively low. Compared with Eastern, Central, Southwest and Northeast China, the proportion of ccdee in Lishui was slightly higher, while the proportions of Ccdee, CCdee and ccdEe were the same as those in China. Conclusions The proportion of Rh-negative blood donors in Lishui area is simiar to the average level in China. The distribution of blood group antigen is unbalanced, which is dominated by ccdee.
