Abstract
The enhancing effect of sulfide and three thiol-containing compounds (glutathione, l-cysteine, N-acetylcysteine) on the chemiluminescence reaction of luminol with hydrogen peroxide in alkaline solution has been found. The flow injection chemiluminescence method for the determination of these substances has been established. Detection limits were 6×10 −10 g/ml sulfide, 9×10 −10 g/ml glutathione, 3×10 −8 g/ml l-cysteine and 7×10 −9 g/ml N-acetylcysteine, respectively. The mechanism of chemiluminescence reaction has also been discussed briefly.
