Abstract

Comprehensive experimental study has been performed to investigate the performance of Rogowski coil. The investigations have been followed on both frequency response and time response of the coil under different conditions of terminating resistances, orientations of current-carrying conductor and shielding. In addition, the performances of the existing models for both unshielded and shielded coils have been investigated to find their accuracies and/or validation regions. The results, then, have been used in structuring a methodology for designing Rogowski coils.
